Zamira was formed when Teal Weatherley (vocals) and Ellen Feldt (vocals/piano/songwriter) joined forces with Ellen's sister, Amanda Barton (vocals/guitar/violin). Their first show was in May 2009 at the Liberty Street Cafe in Warren, PA and they have been playing the Northern PA and Southwestern NY region since. Amanda and Ellen have been playing music together for most of their lives in their family bluegrass band, The Blue Grasshoppers. Since then, Ellen has been expanding her musical talents to include songwriting. Teal is a former Chautauqua Idol Finalist who has performed locally for several years with bands like Two For Flinching and the Steve Johnson Band. Besides Zamira, Amanda performs regularly with the Steve Johnson Band and Bill Ward. With a handful of originals, & some new spins on classics, they're a must see, these three ladies create something original, beautiful, and entertaining.
