If you needed any more proof that this summer’s Great Blue Heron Music Festival is stacked, look no further: our headliner Ripe was just featured in People magazine.
The funk and alt-pop band, originally from Boston and now based in Los Angeles, led by frontman Robbie Wulfsohn, has come a long way since their early days. The group met as self-described “Berklee delinquents,” throwing parties off campus before deciding to take their music seriously.
Now, they’re playing venues like Brooklyn’s Paramount Theater and releasing the deluxe version of their 2025 studio album Play the Game on March 27.
Read the full People feature to learn more about how Ripe grew from a basement party band to one of the most electrifying live acts on the road, and then come see them bring it all to the Heron stage this summer!
